Eka Pada Sirsasana: The Balance Between Strength and Letting Go | Tapas Yoga HK
Author -

Yoga constantly reminds me of the balance between strength and letting go.
Eka Pada Sirsasana (Foot Behind Head Pose) challenges not just the body, but the mind. This pose is a practice in trust - trusting the process, trusting your body, and facing whatever comes up when you sit with discomfort.
True Flexibility
Practicing in Mysore, I've found that true flexibility doesn't come from forcing. It comes from patience and awareness. When we stop fighting against our bodies, we actually find deeper stretches.
Yoga has taught me that the journey is just as meaningful as the pose itself. I'm grateful for every moment of growth, both on and off the mat.
Practice Insights
This advanced pose requires:
- Adequate hip opening
- Hamstring flexibility
- Core strength support
- Most importantly - patience
Don't rush toward the perfect pose. Enjoy the progress that comes with each practice.
