Have you ever tried practicing with your teacher's words in mind? I tried it today, and it felt truly magical.
Those who know me know I get nervous easily, and practice is no exception. Teacher Usha understands my personality well. Today during Uthitha Hasta Padangustasana, she noticed my tension. She stopped and told me: "You're too tense, all your muscles are tight. You just need to relax and focus on engaging only the muscles you need."
So I carried those words through the rest of my practice. When I reached my final pose, the one I'd been stuck on, the assistant encouraged me to relax and helped me through it. When I tried to let go, I actually completed it on my own! The key was relaxing my mind, even letting go of my thoughts, judgments, and expectations, allowing my body to move naturally.
This experience taught me that relaxation helps us progress in yoga and is also wisdom for life. I hope you can try practicing with your teacher's guidance, letting go of tension, and exploring more freely in your practice.
