Post-Practice Notes: How to Care for Negative Emotions
Today I want to share a very ordinary experience: how yoga helps us deal with negative emotions. Perhaps like me, you have once disliked your own body.
I have a sensitive body - once a bad mood strikes, my body begins to feel various discomforts. In the past, these discomforts made me start to dislike yoga practice; and my body's limitations made me complain that it hindered my progress...

However, recent practice has given me a new experience - I've started to appreciate this sensitive body. Because it senses the arrival of negative emotions earlier than my consciousness does. These so-called "pains" are actually reminding me to stop and take good care of my emotions.
In fact, caring for emotions doesn't require complicated techniques. Just simple breathing and basic yoga movements, shifting attention to body control. I've found this is already effective enough to respond to the body's needs and take care of negative emotions. All the pain and stress gradually release through practice.
I'm grateful for this body because it taught me how to love myself and take care of my emotions - letting emotions "come through the body, go through the body."
