Good standing posture makes you feel stable, balanced, and powerful. But modern city dwellers often stand for long periods or have poor posture habits - like constantly looking down at phones - causing joint compensation, leading to back pain and even joint damage.

Do you have any of these posture problems?

  • Rounded shoulders?
  • Forward head posture?
  • Anterior pelvic tilt?
  • Protruding belly?
  • Excessive lower back curve?
  • Weight shifted to one side?
  • Heels not touching the ground?

Poor standing posture can affect body balance and even increase the risk of joint injury (like knee pain or sprains).

Proper Standing Posture Guide

10 Key Points for Proper Standing Posture

  1. Press down through 3 points on your feet (heel, base of big toe & base of little toe)
  2. Engage your core, tuck your tailbone slightly
  3. Keep ribs from flaring, chest naturally lifted
  4. Level shoulders, shoulder blades down
  5. Chin tucked, neck in neutral position
  6. Arms hanging naturally at your sides
  7. Knees pointing toward second and third toes
  8. Balance weight evenly on both sides
  9. Maintain natural spinal curves (thoracic, sacral, cervical & lumbar)
  10. Feel your body extending upward infinitely
