About Mao Sau Rescue: Mao Sau Rescue is a Hong Kong-based animal welfare organization focused on rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming stray cats and dogs. They provide medical care, shelter, and adoption services for animals in need, relying entirely on public donations and volunteer support to continue their life-saving work.
Tapas Yoga HK aimed to create a sustained charity fundraising series that would maximize impact for Mao Sau Rescue while providing participants with diverse yoga experiences. By offering multiple sessions across different dates and formats, we could engage more participants and raise more funds for animal welfare.
Tapas Yoga HK organized three charity yoga sessions over June and July 2024, featuring both individual stretching yoga workshops and partner yoga experiences led by instructors Davis and Mandy. 100% of proceeds from each session were donated to Mao Sau Rescue.
The charity yoga series was a remarkable success, raising a total of HKD$4,050 for Mao Sau Rescue. Multiple sessions attracted diverse participants, and the partner yoga format proved especially popular for creating social connections while supporting animal welfare.
